You guys think trying to become a twitch streamer is worth it? Getting paid to play vidya all day sounds pretty comfy, but putting yourself out there like that is kinda scary

Lmao dude, its one of the most inflated business, what do you have to offer? Whats your kick? Is it really worth it if you have nothing original to offer? Maybe 6-7 years ago you'd been able to create a niche just by existing in the market, but now i dont think there's spot for anybody.

Get a grip of reality and apply for an actual job, if you really like the idea of streaming you could always do it as a side hobby, and if lucky why not, you can even make a couple of hundreds a month out of it, but dont expect it to feed you

You will never become a twitch streamer. GO back to the cage.

You're probably not going to make any money so it's up to you if you think it'll be an enjoyable experience. I know a guy who occasionally streams on twitch to like 3 or 4 people but he likes it. Makes no money but enjoys showing off his skills and conversations with his viewers..

Advice: Don't be a twitch streamer

It works only if you're a cute woman fishing for whales. They're the most retarded and loaded demographic by far. They're the kind of guys who spend thousands on gacha jpegs. I've seen many female streamers who stream to 10 people and make a living just by having one or two whales.

If you have a niche game or category you could find other people into it on there

On the one hand I agree with this poster.
On the other hand, most of the twitch streamers with crowds aren't offering anything of substance or uniqueness either.

Here's my take OP: It's definitely possible, but it demands a level of people skills necessary to keep chat engaged and be entertaining to the people. I don't think it's really possible for robots like us. If you were able to do so, you wouldn't be asking -us- this, you'd be asking your circle of friends you'd be able to keep around from the natural display of your social skills.
