Would you wanna live in a big house? I just think it's more trouble than it's worth

If I was going to live in a big house like that, I'd be rich enough to have maids or some such too.

mo money mo problems, all I need to be happy is a bowl, a spoon, and a cardboard box to call home

I don't want strangers stomping around my house. Especially because they'll hate your guts since you're rich enough to have a mansion and they're not, so they'll steal from you given half a chance.

I was happiest during Covid with stimulus checks and unemployment benefits. Just enough to live with no responsibility

I don't get the appeal, even mowing the lawn just feels like another chore and I wouldn't want to deal with long commutes or having to drive instead of taking the train.
I'm happy living in an apartment. Not with the rent but like I'd much rather buy a condo in a city than a big house.

my dream wall has this quaint wallpaper with a tiny repeating rose pattern like on clarissa explains it all and really irregular checkerboard painted over it

Yes, actually. I have several "themes" of decoration I want to do, and having several wings of house to devote to each one would be ideal. Shit like "cyberpunk aesthetic", "gothic aesthetic" "viking aesthetic" "this hall is filled with nothing but minifigs"

That's why you have security cameras. Something goes missing, pull up the footage, have their ass arrested. Have obvious cameras, and then hidden cameras in the areas where they THINK they have a blind spot.

My parents' house has 10 bedrooms and that's only counting actual rooms with beds. It's way too overkill for a single nuclear family and everyone who wants a big mansion is probably overcompensating for a life spent in poverty.

Right now I live in a 20 m2 studio apt and life's never been better. I feel like there are actually people out there around me, there's actual life and shit. I could even invite people in and stuff.

What to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with you?

It's not *that* cramped in there. Bathroom could've been bigger, though.

Yes, and precisely that size house, but behind a gate and with lots of flowers, gardens and grass around. This is exactly why I won the lottery, to get my own private indoor and outdoor space to be by myself and do whatever I want with.

I have noticed this trend, and same with supercars and yachts. Bigger and/or more expensive is not better, there is a sweet spot of having comfortable things that are actually quality and work well, but if you go overboard then your stuff starts owning you.

I'd want a small house on a large plot of land on the outskirts of town

Yes. I would raise pretty wall or sturdy fence around it, have bunch of children with my wife, teach them to shoot and fly drones, and in times of crisis we'd have shifts to guard duty and we'd have someone to open gate for coming in and out to minimize risk of ambush. If we'd get raided, I'd tell girls or younger ones to fly drones around house and tell use where invaders are so I and my oldest sons could peek from windows behind and shoot invaders in the back near risk-free. I'd make my home my little castle.

Same. Maybe near the beach, or a cabin in some woods on the mountain.
