This is the path I'm taking, just putting my money into state bonds instead, since they're safer and have pretty decent and non-taxed returns. Am also smarter than picrel and am an electrical engineer, so the wage isn't bad at all. If I keep going like this, I'll have a good chance of quitting the rat race in my 40s.
Honestly, looking at property prices these days, you have to be stupid to move out without having a VERY good reason. Like if your parents are shit people or your workplace is far from your hometown. My parents have raised enough money to buy another place, but I'd rather inherit that money. So if I were to take a loan for a house/apartment, I'd be looking at about ~15yrs of having almost half of my wage taken away from me every month, without considering expenses like food or bills. Every mortgagefag I know is fucking miserable and scared for their finances. Meanwhile I save 80% of my paychecks and live like a richfag.
