I turned 29 in 2016 and am plenty nostalgic for it. I had a nice girlfriend, was having my own built, enjoyed anime. Does nobody on r9k realize that there's more to happiness than just "the state of the world" and that you do, in fact, have your own independent slice of the world to enjoy?

1996 was nostalgic as fuck for me. My dad coming home from two years abroad, heading into my last year of primary school which I had started to finally enjoy, Euro 96, and starting to grow pubes. Sadly secondary school was utter shit, and aside from a few good years in the early 2000s, I ended up a miserable 20 year NEET with a dead family.
