no. there is no "just-be-a-nice-person"-ism. every system will have values. every system will have ideas of what is good and what is not, what should be done and what should be prevented. you will have to draw lines. with principles, there will be times when you will have to be unpleasant and there will be people to oppose. have we become more polarized, socially and politically? yes. is this needless? yes. should we be kinder to each other? i think so. can there be an ideology or side thats just like, idk, treating everyone well instead of having to demonize someone? no.
