you have no idea how muscles function. If you want to build muscle mass, don't exercise more than 2-3 times a week because it will ruin your gains.

You're either maliciously misinforming people or retarded. Doing two sets of pushups till failure will have no adverse effects for a newbie other than constant doms for 4-7 days.
