The local pub chain used to do relatively cheap steaks and mixed grills, but they fucking got rid of it all in May.
Though there were times when I had a steak once a week, I was never too regular with it. Different pub branches cooked them better and worse.
So, a couple of months back, I had to see if there were any other cheap steak meals on the market, and I did find one that's a couple of miles away, but their drinks prices are insane. TFW no cold one with a steak and fries, or with a mixed grill. Though the latter is the best value there.
I also found a 'cheap' restaurant, but they had a fuckload of extra charges for fries and a cold one; and the steak, though it was lovely, was too small. Anyway, as a result, I've started to cook steaks and meats at home more. Also cooked a gammon steak the other week. It was fucking delicious.
Anyway, day-to-day I'm cooking fish more. I was on lasagnes before. Still, it's too temping to use the exorbitant delivery app, and binge drink.

Photo is showing it up a bit redder than it was. It was brown enough, and through the inside.
I overcooked one the other week, so I deliberately used less time. Perhaps an extra minute on each side next time.
I don't get into that steak connoisseur bullshit where it's cool to barely cook it, and want to chew for hours, with some blood on the side.
