i used to think the same thing but it's not true. i can feel love and empathy, but i have to understand the logic and the context in which it would make sense to feel love or empathy. for example, if i just say to someone "i love you", i don't feel anything, or worse i feel bad because i don't know what that love means in this specific instance. but if i say "i love you, because x y z", then not only do i feel the feeling of love but i also feel much more comfortable saying it, because i know why and how it makes sense to say it. same thing with empathy, if someone is crying and i don't know who they are or why they're crying, i won't feel like crying myself. but if i know who they are and i know why they're crying, then suddenly i feel the urge to cry myself. context is everything

I don't know, I went from a match(mid-ugly) every other week to getting several attractive matches every time I open the app. The only thing I did was I handed my phone to my sister and told her to change the pictures, my first reaction to the pictures she chose was "eww" and then the matches started rolling in.
