That'd all be well and good if Christian theology didn't maintain that humans have no free will over either finding salvation or overcoming their fallen state. Being saved is all up to divine grace, so unless you're one of the few Christian universalists, a Christian would have to accept that there are many people who were born fallen due to the apple, never receive justifying grace, and go to Hell without any choice over the matter. That isn't just Calvinism either, that's keeping with both monergistic (Lutheran, Reformed) and synergistic (Catholic, Orthodox, Methodist) soteriologies.
