iv had a male friend group all my life but they never connected with me on an emotional level. like they would play games and joke around and make me laugh, which is fine, but its surface level and at some point when i got older i realized i needed a stronger connection. i can vent to women and be open to them and they wont give me one word responses, and if you connect with them on a deep level then theres also always the possibility of a relationship and dating and marriage so it doesnt feel wasted as if it would feel if i was to sperg out to a male friend instead. this might just be cope or something but its how i feel

Same although I am not allowed anymore so I don't do it, but men are really fucking boring and annoying 99% of the time, at least IRL. It's extremely hard to find a male who doesn't talk about football or some other sportsball (that they don't even play) and I immediately snooze out, whereas women can yap about any subject and try to be humorous/lighthearted about it.

No, I have the exact opposite problem. I can only make friends with guys no matter what I try. I wish I had a female best friend. I do have one female friend who I truly respect and like a lot, but she is a heavily religious woman and just had a baby son so it's a little hard to feel that close due to those two things I guess. I'm always wishing for her happiness though. I used to seethe really badly at female friendship groups in slice of life anime and shit out of jealousy, but I think I've finally become jaded enough to stop caring so much. Trying to make female friends made me feel like an actual incel holy hell that was a horrible cycle of rejection, being ghosted, just not connecting etc.

This is pretty much what I've heard from most guys though. Male friends are generally for similar hobbies, gaming, joking etc but can only have emotional connection and talk about deeper issues with female friends.

From my experience it's women who are extremely boring and have no real hobbies.

I'm a gay man and pretty feminine but I still don't have much in common with women. They are very hyperconformist and normalfaggy and judgy, and even if they share my hobbies they only like them on a surface level.

True crime for example. All true crime gals pretend to like it but what it really means is that they shlick to Dylan Klebold, thats it. If you talk about them with obscure cases they'll be weirded out that you know so much about it beyond a surface level.

This is also why women almost universally hate history as a hobby, because they hate having to understand stuff on a deep level.
