I just found most people I knew to be annoying. Maybe it was because I was exposed to social media and internet fairly late compared to most (didn't even have a phone before like 6th grade) and never had TikTok, SnapChat etc., but I found most people my age are so annoying. Vapidly chasing trends - Snapchat fires, collecting sneakers, getting uppity about celebrities and influencers... it's all just so annoying. But sadly I never really fit in during high school and such because I didn't care for any of those things.
