I have never asked any of my gfs to wear high heels and they still did of their own volition when they wanted to dress upscale.
I think high heels being bad for feet is overstated because I had a roommate that swore that heels are only bad if you make them bad. Granted, she was a former dancer and moved with a ton of grace so she wasn't the norm. But what she said made a lot of sense because there are people whose gait and posture are so bad, they wreck their body no matter what's on their feet. It's certain that some of the blame that's given to high heel shoes belongs to the wearer and not just the shoe.
I don't remember what tips she told me, sorry about that fembots. Something about stretching before and after and resting your feet with special insoles.
