i like the big ones, the giant isopods. they look great to hold. unfortunately they are deep under the sea. that sucks.

you can actually pet them, i have. they dont need the pressure, just the cold water, theres aquariums where you can pet them

It makes more sense when you look at their double antennae. That's a feature of crustaceans. Amphipods are similar and are also in their group, Peracarida. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peracarida
The second set on land isopods is tiny and hard to see, often needing them to be flipped over and viewed with a magnifying glass.
>>82859331
Well, I doubt they'd be too interested in me. Fun concept at least.

You should see Glyptonotus. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glyptonotus_antarcticus

Don't worry, I messed up its location anyhow. It's in the Florida Keys, not the panhandle. Opposite side of the state. https://floridakeysaquariumencounters.com/exhibits-experiences/giant-isopod-tank/

It's a very large isopod from Antarctica. They're predators down there, eating starfish and stuff from what I remember. There's lots of cool arthropods in those waters. Colder temperatures are better for the kinds of blood that arthropods tend to have. There's also giant sea spiders down there and sea spiders use their intestines to pump their equivalent of blood around. They breath through their skin too. They're not related to actual spiders, not closely anyhow. They're both chelicerates, but sea spiders aren't even venomous and mostly suck things. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colossendeidae

Also forgot to mention that seaspiders have their intestines going into their legs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ejayKNhfudE
