My ex was also into the whole ren faire thing but she would have never ever wanted to be the knight, she was totally into being a noble lady and really wanted to be the queen of one of the bigger faires, I think the one by denver but it's been a minute idk she was 100% into the "court intrigue" part of it jockeying for made up queen positions.

Fortunately I have relatives with a farm to keep and care for my horse, but yeah it's still a big deal to manage. But that's a big reason I got into this all to begin with. It was horses first for me and then medieval military to follow.
