It's hard to just pretend there are dire circumstances that are pressing you to change... like the other comment... homeostasismaxxed... You have to either manufacture the imbalance that forces you to grow, or life will do it for you, eventually. But I'm in the same boat where it feels like i could just keep existing till everyone around me falls to dust and I'm not sure how I'd feel when that moment finally gets here...

That was what it took for me. A family moved in next door to my dad (whose house I was NEETing in) and the dad was maybe a year older than me, with a wife, kid, and a nice house. It took a few months of that for me to wake up one morning in the first panic attack of my life

If you decide to get back to working, my best advice is try to do it in a trade where you can learn stuff. Even doing unskilled labor on a construction site is better than ending up in a ware house or door dashing or some shit. Good luck anon.

I got my first job at 24 and now live a relatively normal life where I work a full time job and hate every moment of it. Barely a day goes by where I don't fantasize about telling my boss to fuck off and going home to watch anime and shitpost on the internet.

We're closing the business next year because it's just not making the money to be worth keeping open anymore.

I know when I was unemployed doing that everyday sent me into a spiral of depression, not I make sure to not be away from work for too long or my self hatred reminds me how worthless I am, at least I'm contributing to something somewhere and out of the house. Circumstances matter alot for this. Some people don't work because they will likely half to through many years of boring laborious bullshit work before earning anything substantial with coworkers who mock and gossip about them.

This is very close to my situation. I don't wanna take any medication, but people perceive me as bipolar or retarded. so if If I try to get NNETBUX I'll have to see some specialist. It's hell getting fired over and over and always being the oddman out. plus my neighbors are awful and my family are pushovers who bring dumbasses around who abuse them.
