Why? You appear to be imagining some sort of mental resilliance amongst us, some sort of moral integrity or character which prevents us from engaging in that behavior, but I don't think thats correct. We simply may not have the energy to fully jump in or we may have only in certain intervals. Do you know how exhausting it is to be a degenerate, its quite intense.
Also, some people are simple unable to withold self-reflective judgements, its apart of them. Forever. Waving a freak flag would revolt them even if its their "true" self.
