Sliwa's policies around crime and illegal immigration seem sensible. His proposal not to tax the property of the elderly is dogshit retarded boomer parasitism.

He will never win, cause New Yorkers are more upset about costs than they are about crime. After Zorhan enables criminals even more; Sliwa will have a chance (if he's not too old).

Worse of all, Sliwa won't win case he comes across like a mentally unstable person. His body has gone through so much abuse (shot up, beaten with bats). I admire his dedication a lot, but he clearly has some sort of trauma (physical and mental).

He's kind of the opposite of Zorhan, who seems like a mentally healthy and charismatic guy, whose been indoctrinated into retarded communist ideology.

2. Authority of the police chief to overrule CCRB findings

The second one is, factually, the most contentious for actual New Yorkers, the rest (including budget) is just smoke and mirrors. Any time someone wants to "increase police budget" or "defund the police" they just move the numbers to a different column on the same spreadsheet so they can say they did a thing. But the CCRB's ability to impose punishment is extremely contentious in this city.
