I'm convinced anyone who gets anything "profound" out of tripping just doesn't self reflect very often. I've done a couple of heroic doses and some milder ones and always had a good time but never come out of it with some sort of revelation.

Making communion with the divine is not profound according to you? I agree that they are not the end all be all, but that is not what I said in the first place

Weed makes people go schizo
Ayahuasca makes people cover themselves with tattoos
Mushrooms makes men effeminate basedboys, or actually opens their mind so much they try gay sex

Okay, then you did not go to the same place that I have been. I would relax on presuming to know others experience, but then again I am not you

Again with your presumptions, they dont do you any good in this instance. And if you are trying to offend me, you might want to try a little harder

That's called ego death silly, you weren't going to physically die, but it sure does feel like it in that moment when your very sense of self feel like its about to explode into a supernova

I've taken LSD and psilocybin multiple times, with some of the doses being heavy. Definitely helps with introspection, but never learned anything that I didn't already know. I think people who have epiphanies from altered states of mind were never good at thinking to begin with. If you need a performance enhancing substance to understand elementary shit like "woah dude everything is actually connected" then you're probably the type of person who should just stay sober.

It is one thing to read about everything being connected in theory (according to someone else) but feeling it for oneself is something entirely different

The thing is that ego death is not really accurate because the ego is reborn along with everything else that ever was or will come to be, I feel like people gloss over that lesson callously.
The terminology I prefer to use is ego dissolution
