Yes and no.
I miss that it still felt like music, movies and pop culture in general was heading in a direction, whatever that direction was, but at least moving. Now everythings stagnated. There havent been a single interesting thing come out since 2019.
Covid kinda just fucking broke everything. It was the last straw on the camels back.
Now everything is AI slop and culture wars, rage bait and bots. It's been half a decade of nothing, yet too much at the same time.
It's the same shift between the world pre internet and post internet just alot more jarring. Like something shifted. The algorithms took over.
Personally, emotionally I was a wreck in the 2010's, but I still had some hopes and dreams. Now, all though I'm doing fine on all fronts and in a much better place emotionally, I've sort of just given up on everything and just accepted my lot in life. I guess that's age.
