Well then do it and figure it out. What do you want to listen to pink floyd on acid like your grandfather did?

Yes, I have used magical mushrooms (psilocybin)

DMT, LSD, mushrooms. It was fine I guess.

>small amounts
alien thoughts, moments of epiphany, minor auditory distortions (echoing among other things) slight visual distortions (breathing surfaces, flowing of patterns, color vibrancy, light saturation), prone to laughter
>medium amounts
difficulty controlling thoughts (you begin to be increasingly influenced by your environment), you can't tell if you thought something or said it out loud, increasing open eye visuals (heavy flowing and breathing, color distortion, shape deformation), increasing auditory effects, pronounced closed eye visuals
>large amounts
it becomes difficult to interact with your environment and perform mundane tasks, illiteracy (even letters you would normally recognize appear to be alien hieroglyphs), difficulty communicating meaningfully, intense open and closed eye visuals (sometimes so intense you can't tell if your eyes are open or closed), ego death (you forget you are yourself, sometimes you even forget you're a human being and forget that you're a person who took a psychedelic), trance like state, breakthrough experiences, time becomes meaningless, powerful body sensations

This is just a general guide that mostly applies to shrooms and LSD, if you take something like a salvia extract or DMT you will likely jump into an entirely different reality for a brief time. If you take a deliriant you will experience many of the above but with no ability to distinguish it from reality, which can be extremely dangerous if you aren't in a controlled environment

I would highly recommend you try to ground yourself and slowly work your way up if it's something you enjoy, if you jump right into the deep end it's easy to find the effects to be completely overwhelming and unpleasant.

Also expect a degree of pre-trip anxiety or excitement, it feels like a palpable "energy" is coming on, you can definitely tell when it's starting to happen

shrooms, LSD, and some research chemical tryptamines. The visuals are cool and music sounds amazing but I always end up getting anxious and having an existential crisis so I've given them up. For your first time take a low dose (use a fucking scale) and get a trip sitter if you're prone to anxiety.

This is a good starting point from an anon that has been to different places.

I would like to add that if you doing it just for the lulz that is most likely what you will find, among other things. If you are doing powerful psychedelics without a strong belief system in place first, you are playing with fire.

A good trip sitter can be fantastic if they know how to steer you out of bad experiences and be encouraging towards good ones. A bad trip sitter is worse than being by yourself

Imagine all the people who thought they were going to have a goofy fun time and ended up totally shaken by their sudden confrontation by entities from beyond the veil of reality

That is why I am a strong advocate for them as medicine or for ceremonial usage. If you want to take them for recreation that is also totally acceptable.

But I feel it behooves oneself to understand why they call them magical in the first place.

I would love a story or two if you're willing to share. For me, when I wanted to have an earth shattering experience, I would smoke some Salvia 120x extract. I will say with all honesty that it is almost always entirely unpleasant. Here is one such experience

>take a deep rip from the Sally
>within moments I'm getting that feeling
>My body gets that accordion feeling
>my insides are getting shuffled around like a deck of cards
>the gravity heavily intensifies
>I get pulled into the back of the chair I'm sitting in and the force suddenly slingshots me forward into the wall
(all of the above probably took three seconds)
>Suddenly I'm on the face of the sun
>I'm in charge of operating a ferris wheel made of light and fire that's spinning rapidly
>each void between the timbers of the wheel are oscillating with my memories
>I look upon the wheel (with no idea how I'm supposed to handle the responsibility of operating such a device) and watch this tapestry of human experiences in it's entirety
>suddenly everything goes dark
>There is a book
>it opens and the pages begin flipping rapidly
>the book stops on a certain page, and expands to fill my field of view
>I watch an expansive field for ages (I'm a blade of grass)
>there's all sorts of bugs, just living their life out there in the field
>occasionally it rains, or a bird swoops down to pick up a bug, or the wind blows, or snow falls
>I reach up to the sun and soak in it's energy in appreciation
>this goes on for a very long time
>suddenly I'm just a guy, sitting in a chair
>It takes me the better part of twenty minutes to remember that I'm a human being with thoughts and feelings and emotions and a lifetime of experiences, and responsibilities, and opportunities
