Have you ever tried streaming? Still doing it, or did you call it quits?
I'm a Hikikomori so its just to keep me busy but already feeling burnout a bit from it

The idea of turning my gaming time into a job with expectations is very unappealing to me. I'd have to play the games that draw attention rather than the ones I want, put effort into being entertaining etc. I have considered making Youtube videos though, like the kind that shows a summarized playthrough of a game plus some review-like commentary on it, the history of the game, tips on how to play, maybe going over mods too etc. Stuff like what you see from channels like MandaloreGaming and Warlockracy.

I've recently within the last year discovered that I'm an excellent commentator, consistently fill the silence, and can fill it with a voice that a few foids have called "sexy."
This is despite the fact that I am a shy, loser virgin.
But the truth is that you can't compete against women in streaming so I wouldn't even want to try.

I'd love to but the idea of using my face online in the golden age of AI deepfakes keeps me from going all in, as well as the annoyance of learning blender and other tools to go the v-tubing route.

The last time I watched a streamer was because I was playing the same game (mmo) day 1 and just wanted an alt perspective on it and whatever tips I could glean.

what's your advice on using a model, should I go the full toiling route and make my own, comm. an artist, or should I try to find like a free one online

personally I started with a free one, bc I had to see if I liked it first. when I saw I started getting more ppl joining I commissioned one custom for myself. It's a bit of a gamba the best artist cost too much, the cheaper ones have less clients so you have to find something in the middle that works

You missed out on the golden age of the FGC. I can't go back to wasting my time with livestreams because there will never be any as good as NLBC/WNF were. And they were back to back on Wednesday nights, fuck. It felt like a super special event but happened every week. Now the scene has died out due to COVID and not having any good new games

i used to be jealous of streamers, but now looking at what happen to mizkid dud has been on it for more than 10 years. ever since helping ice with a camera to making content himself.
All could be over if you try to make a girl more trad and get "cancelled" XD many such cases

Streaming helped me touch grass and break my autism a bit but it ruined my life too

Many years ago I streamed myself speedrunning Resident Evil 2 (1998) for a few hours and never streamed again. The concurrent viewer count peaked at like 20

I'm currently a vtuber and have been for a while now with an okay audience. It makes me feel less alone, but I am super parasocial at this point so it's maybe unhealthy.

I stream like once or twice a week. I mainly do it because nobody that I know is interested in what I play so I get to talk about it sometimes with the rare chatter that pops in. I used to lose my voice by the end of the day when I talked for an amount that would be considered normal to most people but after streaming for a few years I can keep my voice up consistently. I don't get many viewers though so I wouldn't really call myself a streamer.
