People who have been using military time ever since you were born, when you see 14:00, do you think, okay its 2pm. Or do you in some way see 14:00 as a time in itself? Thats so insane. Seeing 14:00 as a time without converting it to 2pm. Thats different world shit to me.

imagine not using a 24 hour clock
>Yeah lets meet up at 9 bro
>huh 9am or 9pm?
just unnecessarily making it more complicated

This.
I Always set clock to 24h format, and always tell time in that format.

absolute depths of american depravity to call 24-hour time "military time"

we use 12 and 24 hours interchangeably here, normally I would think 2pm I think
I talked to a girl from quebec and apparently they use exclusively 24 hours and she would think 14:00

European here, I don't visualize a day as two 12-hour parts, so each of the twenty four hours has its own unique identity (00:00 - 24:00) in my head.
Reading time in AM and PM takes me a bit longer to comprehend.
I also find analgoue (12h) clocks harder to read than digital 24:00 ones.

I'm learning Japanese rn and they have that AM/PM thing going too. Very annoying.

Anus time, penis time. Because in the morning you are getting fucked and in the afternoon it's time to dick around.

you must have some sort of mental retardation then, when you live in a place that uses both 12 and 24 hours it shouldn't take you more than a couple of weeks to mentally map each number to its corresponding pm equivalent and you would do this as a child

i use military time and convert it to am pm. im 35
i do this because android home screen doesnt show am pm. it just shows a number. and so often id see like 6:22 and id go to the grocery store and it was closed because its am not pm
so now with 24 hour military time i can know what time it is always, because my sleep scheduel is so fucked up it stopped being funny a long time ago

in America the military is one of the few institutions that uses a 24-hour clock. Nobody does in everyday life, if you said "lets meet at 14:00" people would understand what you meant but would look at you funny, because why would you do that

I'm guessing you mean railroad time, and yes I think of it in terms of its actual numbers, I don't convert it to yankee time in my head.
