Any contract can be broken, and any transgression remedied. There are an infinite number of ways to right wrongs. I would make a genuine, serious effort to appease the spirit in other ways that work for you. As this will give you the most peace of mind, and work out for the loa. You could opt to go down the protection path. As humans, we are molded in the image of God. We have that ultimate power inside us, and can banish, and overpower any spiritual entity that exists. Hence why they're always willing to work with us to begin with.. So keep that in mind. Just, it's harder to shake the paranoia with the spiritual protection path if you don't have that deep rooted knowing of your inner strength. Hence my suggestion of appeasement.

Make an altar to their liking. Give them a proper vessel (Idol) to inhabit. Gift them offerings that you know they would appreciate. Honestly, it's not much different than being a good host for a guest in your home. Make them comfortable. Make them feel appreciated. Be attentive, and listen to their needs. This can go on for as long as you feel necessary given your level of tramsgression. It also will typically bring you good things associated with the loa in question if you take your worship seriously. The only thing outside of being a good host that is typically universally liked is getting other's to do the same. As in, get other people to worship the loa too. Hell, you could keep making threads about it on r9k, and sort of do that funnily enough. Become the "imbred" of your loa on here.
