That's how I lost my best friend since I was like 7 when I was 15, I noticed he never initiated any conversation so I just stopped texting or calling waiting for him to contact me but he never did. Who knows how long I was the only one who initiated

besides trying to find a job I mostly play games, watch shows/movies, read comics, etc. my favorites are multiplayer ones since I'm competitive but finding friends willing to do that with is way harder than it should be. I've been starting to have full quiet days where I don't speak with anyone outside of job hunting stuff or services. what about you?

kinda about exactly the same, except i talk to other people. i kinda grew to dislike multiplayer games because people get so toxic whenever you don't do what they want, or behave like toddlers at the slightest inconvenience

I lost my all of friends recently because of a similar thing. 2 I knew since like kindergarten and a few others I met through them that I've know for around 8 years ish. I don't like to initiate but I don't ignore people if they try to contact me. I'll just say I'm not in the mood at least but they stopped wanting to contact me.

I'm used to tuning it out and leave voice chat perma muted. makes the experience way more tolerable.

i see. that's kind of annoying, since i expect multiplayer games to be social... there are some chill multiplayer games like minecraft though

you can still work with your team without talking to them. I kind of have to when I play splatoon since there's no voice chat or text chat so I've learned to adapt that into other games
