Why does shit never get any easier for me?
Recently I became a High School Teacher, which means I need to wake up at 6am every morning.
I have never been a morning person, but for the first few weeks I was able to do it because I didn't want to mess up my job.
Now we are 3 months into the school year and my mornings have only got WORSE.
I thought people talked about "sleeping on a routine" all the time and said it would fix so many of my problems
But it hasn't, its only got harder and harder to wake up in the morning.
Its got to the point where I feel like I'm gonna pass out during class.
And when I get home I instantly crash and need to take a nap. This didn't happen before.
Why does this healthy habit shit never work on me?
Its like when I go to the gym and somehow GAIN weight

>Hates like getting up early.
>Chooses job known for having to wake up very early.
Sorry anon, but you should've taught things through a bit more. Also, dealing with today's iPad-raised kids? Teaching genuinely sounds like one of the most sui fuel jobs possible.

what do you teach? i could probably tell you something depending on the subject you do, but judging by the fact you're on this site you're probably a teacher for some gay zog nothingburger subject that's only seen once a week

Why did you choose a high stress career if you want things to get easier?

Go to bed earlier. Have a cup of coffee in the morning. Deal with it.

Family makes it worth it.
You have a wife at home? Kids? There is your reason for getting up and going to work in the morning. A literal tangible phenomenon in your life that is a living counter argument to the intrusive thoughts telling you to sleep in or quit.

when i switched to a morning job after years of working afternoons and evenings it took a hell of a long time to get used to being up earlier, like a year probably. i still sleep for hours less per night than i used to, but have become used to that as well and never get tired in the day really

ive worked from home on my own schedule for almost 10 yrs now, but last year i got a job at the mall during the summer because it was on my bucket list kinda to work at the mall, amd hey it pays 15/hr now which isnt that bad.

i had to wake up at 6 or 7 most days and drive about 30 minutes, and within a month and a half i was nearly falling asleep on the drive home even though i was only working 3 days a week, and sleeping half the day on my days off. it was so exhausting that it cut into my work from home business way too much to continue and also i was at legit risk of falling asleep at the wheel.

no idea how people do it. doesnt work for me at all. ive really only felt reasonable energetic since being done with school and starting to work on my own. i had a job at a cafe for about a year and a half after college, but it was mixed morning/evening shifts and only a short walk from my apartment.

so the only advice i have is, try to cut out the drive to work if you have one...i think thats the real killer in a lot of cases. use public transit even if it takes longer (your brain can half sleep cause you dont have to watch the road) or else find someone to carpool with at least some days. i always avoid even being on the road during rush hours, half of people drive like zombies and the other half like psychos, and now i know why.

Teaching is pretty easy and I teach Engineering classes so the students are pretty well behaved.

Why would being a user here mean I teach a worthless subject. Aren't we all intelligent nerds here?
>>83032350
Being a High School teacher isn't stressful at all. High School is really easy especially these days. Plus I like getting summer and holidays off
>>83032373
I already get 8 hours of sleep and the only thing I drink is water

say you're from a small homogenous white town without blatantly specifying it

the constant influx of threads made by porn rotted niggers tell a completely distinct story, no doubt there are some smarties here but they get overshadowed by female and degenerate attentionwhores

its not one size fits all

Actually my school is mostly Mexicans. But I teach Engineering classes which are electives so my students at tend to WANT to be in the class.
My students are pretty well-behaved, trust me, I've been to other parts of the school like if Im subbing for an English teacher to make some extra money, those kids are suici fuel.
I think the engineering classes tend to attract the better ones.

Yeah I agree, the quality of internet users has dropped tremendously in the past 15 years.
I miss when the internet was made by and ruled by white nerds.

Yeah I've always been a night owl. When I was in college I worked the night shift at a local college. 9am to 5am. Loved that job.
Also in High School it was normal for me to stay up for multiple days at a time and sleep during the day.
I notice I'm much more tired these days though, I don't know if I could pull a 3 day binge as an Adult.
