i take modafinil at 100mg every day and i have never experienced tolerance, my baseline existence is just better now. i consider myself super lucky to respond well to it, and that my exact complex of mental issues is addressed by its effects. for me its always been fatigue, apathy, lack of motivation, issues with rumination and modafinil fixes the first 3 for me and the third is easier to deal with when i feel mostly normal. ive been on it for 5 years daily and am quite comfortable staying on it for life.
