The one friend I have left is treating me like a backup for when all his other friends are busy. I feel like this is it. The end credits of my life are about to play and soon there will be nothing for me here.

is this an irl friend of yours? or an online friend? have you told him how youre feeling?

I did that once and that's why I need to tell you something - maybe he not only doesn't see you as a friend, but he also doesn't see his other friends as true friends. Sometimes you just need to pretend and lie to stay alive, I bet he doesn't have anything against you either.

It's an irl friend. I tries to squeeze my way into his general friend group but he always dodges the question and I feel like if he wanted me there, he would have said so, same goes with asking him to play video games like we used to together. After a few tries I just left the ball in his court to invite me, which hasn't happened. I didn't tell him how I feel because things are generally fine when we do meet and talk about stuff and I'm bad at those kinds of conversations.

I feel like I'm not the priority, which is how I felt with my own friend group that I distanced myself from when I realized that I was just there so they have someone to crack jokes about.

aww i know that feeling well. i dont really have much advice to give except probably try your best to look for new friendship opportunities, wherever you find them. i got cut out completely and the isolation really hurt, i eventually found some ease of the pain in online friends

Are you in college? If people used to crack jokes about you without an apparent reason, chances are you probably have noticeable autism. To be honest, there's not much you can do, just don't try to force yourself to fit in with his friends since that would be the worst course of action for you.

I'm gonna try to look for online friends but I don't hold out much hope since I have a fear of strangers, especially online.

These were friends from highschool that adopted me during senior year. I was so desperate to go out and hang out that I just took the abuse until I got fed up and told them to fuck off. Had only this one friend since.

thats ok, just play some online games and give yourself some time and youll meet nice ppl, or roll the dice on anons which works too in my experience
