Orangutans typically reach puberty at age 6-8 but don't start mating until somewhere around 15 or 16, leaving a SEVEN YEAR GAP between sexual maturity and socially acceptable sexual initiation, and while females tend to avoid males until they're ready to mate because the males are often aggressive toward them, members of their community will often inflict fatal violence onto orangutans that attempt to mate with female orangutans that are far too young. You really shouldn't get into the behavior of animals to justify the behavior of humans because animals suffer from extreme hypergamy, "chadonly" females, disposable males, cannibalism, and RAPE. Some animals practice "courtship" but more don't. Did you do any research into the behavior of orangutans as a whole?
