I was going to post a comparison but then even after looking at the treasury website run by the government it became obvious that they weren't giving out accurate numbers and the biggest indicator was that instead of listing dry statistics they threw in some commentary about the shutdown and perhaps most telling of all mentioned that the amount of vacancies per unemployed person was a 1:1 ratio which just seemed false on its face.
So here's a few things. They just straight up aren't releasing any raw data about current inflation rates or anything. Again with a little disclaimer blaming the shut down for why they cant release any statistics

The last time they did release any statistics was august and the shutdown started on Oct 1. So this sort of begs the question as to why ALL of the data is unavailable instead of just the data leading up to October. It kinda gives the impression that maybe the economy is doing so bad they they are purposefully extending the shutdown so they don't have to release data on the economy. This might also be the reason why besides not wanting to budge on the ACA extension the reason might be that they just straight up can't. The billionaire tax cuts, the Argentina bailout, the 50K sign on bonus for ICE agents, etc. Might have already emptied out the emergency funds which is why they've also been reluctant to fund SNAP with that emergency money that was set aside and ordered by a judge for that purpose. Because the administration has already spent the money and they've got nothing in reserve.
Republicans need to gut healthcare because they've already spent the money and with the economy in shambles and the tariff revenue not covering the tax cuts they are simply out of funds and trying to cut any corners they can.
