Anyone else plan on being successful?
I'm upskilling and upgrading my life. Investing in skills as well as financial literacy. I can save 7.5k by this time next year. Half goes into investments and half into savings. By then we'll see if the crypto bubble has burst. Learning french too. It's an international language. Honing my reasoning skills with chess. Basically I want to be a millionaire by 40. I turn thirty in a fortnight. I have my own base of operations which I pay a literal pittance for, so I'm very lucky in that way. Should I get a financial advisor?

Even if you are rich life won't be worth living. To ultimate punishment for people who want too much is the irreversible destruction of the earth

This is why I realized it is inherently pointless, whether you are successful or not everything in life is really vapid. Most of the time success is linked to depreciation of your environment. Which is an illusion because the more "successful" you are the worse your environment gets. At some point in the future there will be nothing left to take resources from, and everyone will slowly die off like flies.

Depends on how you define success. Success for me is retiring in my 40s and doing the bare minimum at work. Living with my parents, saving/investing 70% of each paycheck and inheriting the place when they die. Ultimate luxury for me is not having to wake up at 7am an spend 8h in an office. As soon as I can afford that, I will feel successful. As long as my weekdays keep being wasted being a wagie, I simply cannot be happy with my life.

yeah. you and 2 billion other strivers who will all die as humiliated losers
talk to some "successful" people over a beer some time - as friends and human people, not as networking acquaintances - and you will change your mind

I no longer know what success would be for me
