I don't understand at all why you wouldn't want to thoroughly vet someone after being in "unimaginably horrific relationships". If you want to get married and then find out she's massively in debt, has terrible family issues, was a massive slut when younger and fucked half the town, already has children she doesn't see anymore, has a crazy possessive ex, is an ex-junkie, etc. etc., whatever myriad other issues she could have, then that's your prerogative.
>Not everyone picks shitty girls and needs to play detective like you
Obviously you don't know they're shitty at first, that's why you vet them, anon. Surely you've spoken to people and they've talked about how their partners hid their negative qualities until they married/moved in together, right? No one deliberately jumps into a dog shit relationship, they realize it's dog shit after they've already committed. If you've actually been in horrific relationships, you'd know that.
But again. Your life. Do as you please.
