I slapped my dad in the face a couple days ago basically over nothing as well. It's kinda weird cause we argue all the time then things will be fine the next day shit just reaches a boiling point and I blew up and over reacted.

Around last year ish my mom and I got into a physical altercation but I jut grabbed her arms and controlled them. Never hit your mom. I would say though the one who initiates physical contact is in the wrong and is fair game to respond with equal force against but not really women and especially not your mom. They are women you literally can over power them so easily.
