I think my earliest proper ecchi was Girls Bravo. Revisited it years later and forgot how rapey it was. Both were solid IMO. People act like it's about gooning, but I've always loved how insane the plot gets in ecchi and harem anime.

yeah, i watched ecchi harem anine before i even knew what s'xe was i think (i was a very sheltered catholic kid.) i just liked the vibe of the show (and it helps that at the time ecchi anime were the only ones being reuploaded on to youtube)

I miss when youtube was freer. Now some companies won't even let you upload clips, and uploading a parody dub where you change the voices, sounds, and script is a pain, even though it's 100% legal in the US.
The sad part is, these companies fail to realize how beneficial it can be to have random clips on youtube. I found Haganai because of random clips. I watched it BECAUSE I saw the excaliber clip. Shows like Is this a Zombie would benefit greatly from clips, but they will block worldwide any clip of the show.

Then let them. Holy hell I can't imagine watching a show in 2 minute increments when I can just pirate the whole series from Nyaa. It's not hard to pirate an anime. It never WILL be hard. Companies need to stop focusing on heavy handed copyright management and focus on how they can be.. well better. Promote good will in the community. Pirates are going to pirate, but if you have good will, users will shame more people for piracy and ultimately, more people will feel inclined to buy more. It's not going to stop piracy, but the only thing that will stop piracy is just handing your shit out for free.
