>>12408385it's a social thing. it's very similar to those eating disorder groups online. people come into it either by accident or by seeking help, and then they feel that they are "accepted" there, and find companionship there. but on the flipside, it causes them to only recede further as if they stop having that disorder, they would no longer fit in. so they only worsen
it's very similar with transgender groups, they outwardly are super virtue signaling (to great effect) but internally they cause people to get stuck in this vortex of "i have to call myself a girl now because thats my social group"
it causes these people a lot of anguish so don't harass them over it, but at the same time i wish there was a good way to just. pull people out of it, i see so many young kids falling into this because they're just a bit on the spectrum and in puberty, then find companionship in those groups and before long they're buying DIY HRT
