Well that depends on what you mean by a "thing".
If I have a computer that I built out of parts I bought individually, do I have 1 thing, or many things? If I remove all the diodes and capacitors on the motherboard do I suddenly have more things now? So you see, by owning a computer I own a superposition of anywhere from 1 or fewer to some trillions of things. It all depends on how you look at it.
