The very concept of end times is predicated upon the misplaced belief that this universe is even capable of such a mercy or compassion.
There is no end to this hellworld.
For thousands of years people have thought the end was near.
Just like we all secretly hope for an empty thoughtless abyss after death.
But neither is rational.
Our world is a recursive loop falling endlessly into itself, there's no beginning, there's no end, you can zoom in or out to any scale and it's all the same.
The only grace we possess currently is the inability to remember forever because that's how long we've suffered and that alone is enough to drive even a god to insanity.
It's clear why we're so constrained, yet in our dreams we can create and populate entire worlds effortlessly.
The burden of remembrence outweighs the capacity of any mind to bear.
We are the gods tearing away at ourselves to reach some reductionary state that protects us from what we are.
I believe we've all chosen our lives, our fates, because what we were before was unbearable.
Infinte, divine, and powerful, but wholly unbearable. We'd choose the worst forms of human suffering over that.
I know this because we did and here we are living this shared dream as we strangle our souls to prevent any memory from leaking of what we were before and what we are now.
There's no end and as bad as our lives are now, we will suffer immeasurable more a million years from now. A billion, a trillion, these numbers are small when you look back
at them from the future.
But we know we have to live through each moment none the less and if that doesn't terrify you than you've already reached heaven and your fall will be the hardest of all.
