>you see that character and call her "white"?
I deliberate called her "white-passing", because that's what she is. She may be white. Then again, because she's from a manga, she might also be intended to be Japanese or Asian. Then again, within the context of the story she's technically the princess of a desert kingdom, so she could be some kind of Middle Easterner. It's hard to say exactly what she is, which is why I said "white passing", but the one thing we KNOW FOR SURE SHE IS NOT is a brown poo.
>she looks like a fuckin alien, my dude. and what do you care if the Japanese creator of a series selects an Indian woman to play a character?
>what do you care
Classic response. It's funny that when white people point this shit out and complain about it we're always asked "bro why do you care so much bro?" as if it doesn't matter. But if it doesn't matter, then why was she race swapped in the first place? If it doesn't matter, why are there so many examples of white passing characters who get race swapped into blacks and browns? Funny how people only ask why it matters so much when white people point out how often this happens and how it only happens in one direction.
