update on my sunflowers
some of them look like they have a broken neck now, it is apparently called "nodding" which is the next stage of their life
maybe soon i will be ready to cut them down to take all of the seeds
anonymous No.12481291 >>12481300
interesting factoid !!!! will you be using the seeds for their oil? or just eating them

i dunno i think its too much work to eat sunflower seeds that have shells but i will see if i can cut them down and marinate them and bake them anyway!

oooh my parents do that with pepitas from our pumpkins every year, the shell is extra fiber and a nice nutty taste

actually what will happen is this
the sunflowers have had a goode life they grew big and tall they are like 10 feet tall and strong with big nice yellow heads
now they are nodding off to slep and will stay that way for some time still and then the back of their heads will turn from green to brown, the seeds on the head will finish growing
and then it will come time to harvest. "off with your head!" i will say and use garden shears to cut their heads off

Make sure you let them know how much you love them everyday.

you can take the seeds from the flowers when they're still blooming, they're not mature yet though.
