But I don't think there's any other plush line that has people bringing them to game tournaments and fan conventions, or posing them for silly photos/adventuring in random areas/etc. The collector culture may be there for the other two lines, but the interactive community isn't.

Perhaps we would've had the same thing happen to other plush lines if cameras were as omnipresent in the 80s and 90s as they've become in the smartphone era, but I think that it's only really taken off for fumos speaks for itself. It could also be confirmation bias, since this is an anime weebsite and fumos are very definitely an anime/weeb niche, but I really do think the community is unique.
