[s4s] is a special board because by having no topic it grew into pure memery, the very lifeblood of all the boards and by derivative the entire of the internet.
most [s4s] memes came from within this board itself and the wacky minds of its users. the board was birthed in irony as a direct mockery of reddit, and our irony became this:
nothing posted on "sh*t 4chan says" should resemble the highly serious and purposeful posts actually made throughout the rest of 4chan.
Nobody really says the sh*t we say on sh*t 4chan says.
It follows that by transgressing the unspoken law, by unironically posting the normal 4chan, /pol/ threads, /soc/ threads, porn threads, /r9k/ greentexts, celebrities...
well you take away just a little bit from the original spirit of this board which was to be completely its own
and you dilute/pollute what has become one of the last remaining sources of meme magic on this very changed internet, to the point where some posters who once loved it the most don't even want to look here anymore
because they came to escape what the rest of 4chan and the greater internet has become and find a smol pocket of how it used to be.
so, if there's a place on this site where such >>>/lgbt/, >>>/pol/, >>>/soc/, or >>>/trash/ related threads would fit in perfectly well and unironically...maybe consider taking them back there.
