Reminder that there exist a storm out there that is bigger than Earth.
Doesn't that scare you?

The whole universe is just stuff (mostly circles) moving in circles. I'm made of some, it doesn't concern me. There's a bunch way out there, you can sort of see it at night. Doesn't bother me at all
>but this circle has a big circle spinning around on it
I do not care

well earth certainly isn't getting engulfed by it anytime in the future so i don't see why i'd be worried

I don't care about cosmic phenomena, the universe is a place of lifelessness either way.
Anonymous No.16694555 [Report]
Why should it? I'm not going there anytime soon, it's not coming here either. It's however a bit creepy that Jupiter or one of its moon gives FM signals.

It's far more frightening that there are tons of humans that get frightened by things that never could have any actual impact on their lives.

religion takes the spotlight for that, not scientific facts about distant space phenomena

What are the top wind speeds on that damn thing even ... I bet we could surf it. :3

It's not that bad, it's just like a big hurricane or something on earth but a few times bigger.

It’s all orbital. Orb.

yeah but that hurricane is an orange clusterfuck that is literally larger than the world you live in

Even a hurricane on earth can be the size of a country and we're not scared of that

Why would it scare me any more than the fact that there exists so much nothing that is so much bigger than anything?

The winds on Neptune are even more powerful than on Jupiter, leading to immense storms that have the highest sustained winds - 2100 km/h.

Just don't go there anon.
And in case you did the storm would be the last of your problems.

We have wind here.
Does Jupiter have animals that can detach their penises to go look for a mate? No?
I think I made my point.

Wouldn't it be funny if some space-obsessed lunatic followed Stockton Rush's example and made a Space Titan made specifically for flying in the atmospheres of gas giants? You could enjoy the sights and sounds of Jupiter shortly being crushed into tiny itty, bitty little pieces. I think it'd make for a great Netflix documentary after the fact.

Skill issue, OP. Storms are fucking kino.
Anonymous No.16699989 [Report]
It's not the size that matters but how you use it.

Which is why we must crash Earth into Jupiter to show it what's what.

It's how stable it has been over time. A planet sized mega hurricane blowing nonstop for at least a couple hundred years in a wierd banded layered atmosphere on a failed red dwarf with a metallic hydrogen core

How do you know for sure? Couldn't it be that the statistically most probable time to be alive is that the population peak directly before the Apocalypse? Perhaps even being alive puts you at a higher probability of experiencing an apocalyptic event..

Carter Catastrophe is bullshit because it assumes an exponential population curve rather than an S-shaped one.
