Media is center left because the center left morality is more advanced and media is at least more acquainted with the advanced morality than the plebians who have limited moral capacity. As for reality being center left, if you include the various religious/mythological beliefs as 'right', then it's true that reality is far left.

I don't want to shit on this thread immediately but the concept of left-center-right trichotomy is relative. It can change inter-nationally. Even if we consider burgerland politics(which I don't know thoroughly), it has also changed pretty significantly just in the last 60 years.

My opinion on the matter is that media(international media)tries to fence-sit on every topic possible and takes in account for every major country's politics which is why people have differing opinion on where the media lies based on where the overton window lies in their country.

the right believes in objective reality, the left believes in constructed reality. obviously people who believe that "the truth will out" won't gravitate towards the media to the same extent that people who believe "if I report it, it becomes true" will.

Media isn't ideological, it's state propaganda. "Center left" is probably just the 10 year moving average of what combination of words the most people feel the least violently triggered by, so they use it as a wrapper for whatever is the new thing most people are supposed to care about. There's nothing consistent about what's inside the wrapper.

It's a 100% untrue.
Media is left because of money and influence.
In 10 years it will be illegal to be right wing in some countries.

Media is center-left, because boomers in the 1970s and the college-educated millennials who run those institutions were socialized with center-left politics.

Look at the media in China or Russia and you'll see they're very different, because the people who run it are very different.

Journalists have an average IQ of 98 along with substance abuse problems and mental health issues well above average. They are malcontents looking to punish society for their own failings.

They were socialized to associate the word left with not being an asshole to people for no reason and center with being safe from mockery and ostracization. It has nothing to do with the actual politics which can change from day to day and certainly don't follow from the 70s.

When Colbert said the line that they're still smugly parroting 20 years later it might have been vaguely true, but that's because "right" meant Team America World Police and the "left" hadn't jumped off the tranny deep end yet. Everything 2006 lefties hated most about Bush/Cheney is now primarily represented on the "left".

Do you know what the word reactionary means? Conservatives and the right wing quite literally define themselves as opposed to change and progress.

It was "left" in the 70s to be repulsed by the CIA. Today it's "left" to worship the CIA and suck off the establishment. I know you're saying that boomers are the establishment now but the point is that "left" is an empty word.

You’re making up the fact that left wingers want to return to segregation dumbass.

And I’m talking about entropy, conservatives don’t understand the laws of the universe and want to reverse entropy and when they can’t they throw a fit and do a shooting or start a war.

The idea of racially segregated dorms, racial affinity groups, racial reparations, giving seed capital to people and communities based on race on the assumption that money can and should stay segregated by race, these are all so-called "left wing" positions.

Also conservation, protecting endangered species, keeping animals and plants from dying out, preserving all the flora and fauna in a time capsule, preventing natural erosion, natural forest fires, all of that is still a "left wing" position, at least the last time I checked. Could have changed by now, who knows lol.

Intellectually dishonest and bad-faith of you to imply any and all opposition to any progressive policy is comparable to denial of thermodynamics. You're a midwit and a fraud.
