Lets ignore the economics and the time of it, I am just asking a pure scientific question about the human brain.
Say a 40 year old wanted to become a doctor. Yes he would need to go to university, go to med school, go to residency and if he does all that he might be able to be a doctor at 60, work for 10 years and retire, meaning it wouldn't be that feasible.
However, purely in terms of brain neuroplasticity. Is it possible? Assume this person has the IQ to be a competent doctor, he just never applied himself and just lived in his means and was comfy. But one day just for shits and giggles he wanted to do that.
How much of a detriment is having a 40 year old brain compared to a 20 year old, in going to school and becoming a literal competent functioning high end doctor.
Could be a doctor, or a lawyer, or a programmer, etc etc.
