literal schizo
I've had 4 psychotic outbreaks in my almost 40 years. The first 3, I stopped taking the meds cold turkey, and this graph I posted illustrates the way in time and intensity the psychotic outbreaks fade with the time. I found it really interesting and as a young 20 something guy I already made the connection "it's like a water drop hitting water pattern"
That's it I wanted to put it out there since I've never seen this anywhere talked about schizophrenia.

I bet Pi and Phi are related to that. Schizos like those two things. Maybe look into that, unless youre scared of "le hospital".

>youre scared of "le hospital".
nigga, if you were hospitalized 4 times and the last 2 for 4 months each, and one of them drugged up to the point you walk like a zombie while also being in constant phisical discomfort you would be scared too. Not sure what's that about I think they make it specially tough so you don't want to go back, but still, I can see that shit as "le good". not to mention the shady deals they might be in with both farma industry and private owned interment psychistrichs
I know about pi, I like it a lot, mere geometry blows my mind, phi, the golden ratio, big fan, but if wolfram alpha is something to go with, I believe sine/cosine that shit descrives actual wave patterns lemme google images that real quick
>checks
yes indeed

Just generate opposite thoughts during your psychotic outbreaks to silence the mind.

meds take care of that, but yes, at some point I have to at the very least try to drop them

Every time you suffer a psychotic episode you will experience cognitive decline translating directly to IQ loss. The best established point is first onset and your first psychotic break which generally correlates very strongly with an average 5 IQ points decrease in cognitive capacity. After that most schizophrenics suffer a general continuous cognitive decline over the course of their illness with strong patterns indicating heavier IQ loss the longer your psychotic episode lasts and also across repeated episodes. Individuals can tank as much as 20 IQ points over the course of their illness and a heavy cognitive decline is in fact a hallmark of the disease.

Taking meds to prevent relapsing into psychosis is the best shot you have at maintaining your cognitive capacity. Otherwise, you are almost guaranteed to end up a retarded old schizo.

Regards, a doctor of medicine.

I'm not a doctor, but I'm pretty sure I'm more retarded since I started taking the meds

check this out nerds, I figured out on my own how to simulate decay in a wave, sort of, 0 googling or looking up, mere experimentation with the parameters of the sin equation, haven't done maths in more than a decade

help me out geometrical geniuses, in my mind I take this formula here:

and multiply it by 2*pi and I have a 3d wave (y axis rotation of the radius), wolfram gives me no results, am I in the right? how can I ascend past wolfram?

Is it big pharma or is there real scientific evidence for prescribing antipsychotics with adhd stimulants?
I have no idea why would my doctor enforce me to use it, ow they threaten to cut my concerta supply.

we are, but it's a big weight we have to carry if we're severely schizo, some schizos even go the "spiritual" route, and you can imagine how fucked up that is

Hello anon. I was put in mental hospital as well. I am lucky that my diagnosis isn't schizophrenia though. My diagnosis is just depression/anxiety.

I have a question for you. Do you think psych meds have ever helped you? I'm constantly in this cycle where I take meds because I think they might help, then I think "fuck this shit I want to live without drugs", so I stop them.

Maybe I should just take an antidepressant consistently, which I think does give me some benefits, even if I dislike the side effects.

>Do you think psych meds have ever helped you?
it's a complicated question, but let me just say this, those meds put me out of my severe psychotic outbreak and dellussion. that one bit is undeniable
>rest
I'm not a doctor or a psychologist/psychiatrist, but my take is the following, depression is a mental state that affects the physical state, and you have to overcome it by yourself, you can't just live on anti-depressants for life, it doesn't make sense to begin with

and by that I mean, use them if necessary, but have an exit route

>those meds put me out of my severe psychotic outbreak and dellussion. that one bit is undeniable
I see. Yeah I think they can have beneficial effects, I think I've had some beneficial effects. I'm just not sure if I should be taking on the negative effects of the meds though.
>depression is a mental state that affects the physical state, and you have to overcome it by yourself, you can't just live on anti-depressants for life, it doesn't make sense to begin with
What if someone has genetic factors which make them more likely to be depressed though? I'm not saying I have that, because I don't know. I've never had my genes tested. But a doc did suggest to me that maybe there is a genetic thing in my family. In that case, if antidepressants do help such a person live their life, what's wrong with taking them? But yeah I'm just wondering whether I'm prepared to take on the negative effects of the meds, which are unavoidable if I want the benefits.
>use them if necessary, but have an exit route
I would want to come off them once my life is in a better place, definitely. I would aim to do that. But if coming off them at that point fucks up my life entirely for some reason then maybe I should just stay on a med.

I'm not a doctor pham, I don't think I should tell you more than I already have. And there's no need to turn this into a personal blog of your life or mine. I guess I can only tell you to try to find a doc that tells you that getting off-meds might be an option. The way I see it, you just have to undepress yourself.

Then please keep in mind that the patterns are a hallucination! Life is just going to work so you can go to the store and buy food to then eat the food. The math is beautiful but it doesn't represent anything in reality.

I think lithium is for bipolar rather than psychosis/schizophrenia, for which a person would normally be given antipsychotics.

I'm older, and I've quit medication 3 times out of 4 I've had outbreaks, thus why I've noticed the pattern, the right pattern is this one btw:
