Hey remember that time a few years ago when NASA would hold a press conference every few months to claim they found liquid water on Mars?

What the fuck was that all about?

No, it was like twice a year. Biannual means twice a year. Biennial means every two years. They're different words.

Time for a history lesson Anon,

NASA had a specific experiment on Viking which was meant to DIRECTLY search for life in the Martian soil.
This experiment tested positive for life - *multiple times*.
.
In any other scientific context, this would be met jubilation and triumph, or at least with fervent scramble to conduct follow up experiments.

In the event, their actual response was to discredit the experiment (which they themselves designed) and to abandon all similar experiments in the future, and instead focus on beating around the bush looking for things like water or methane.

This is absurd, and has no precedent in any other scientific field, the equivalent of achieving sustained fusion or detecting the neutrino and then immediately destroying the reactor/detector.

NASA is well aware that there is no life anywhere in our solar system.

It is a marketing tool, meant to manipulate and bleed tax dollars out of the public to fund their pet projects in geology.

If the public realized this, they would never subsidize a relatively niche field of zero practical or economic importance (exogeology on uninhabitable worlds which are economically inferior to asteroids in every way imaginable).

Dumb nigger h*mans are too low IQ to band together for one honest transparent effort to explore space. Low IQ munkies too dumb and retarded to remove nuclear bombs from their only planet. Too DUMB to resolve ideological differences in good faith. Too STOOOPID to recognized their shared opportunity to pursue knowledge and civilization and fulfill their potential. Just stinky ooh ooh ah ah monkeys in suits pushing their """psyops""" and charging """loans""" to satisfy their crude munky feeeeelings instead of solving anything with significance.

>but precedent, bro! We're bound by the mistakes of the past, bro! Stop bullying me!
>I can't convince the other niggers to change, bro! They're all dumb like me! My hands are tied, bro!
>it's okay to have low IQ because EVERYBODY has low IQ, the other civilizations probably already NUKED themselves *cries*

It is truly fascinating to me how reliably 4chan users can't google shit. I assume because they're bots.

Deflecting online criticism by dismissing it as AI-generated without evidence? Encouraging the proles to question the authenticity of every message? A very pedestrian tactic. Funny how you let the first amendment bite you in the ass by always leaving the door open to dissent. Why don't you just cleanse the media space like real totalitarians? Do you think you're playing a long game or are you just powerless against the accumulation of old dogmas, too stupid and emotional for honesty and integrity?

dumb makes sense yet i figure it's more of a "nature" problem rather than "nurture" (although both nature and nurture are nature although that's a whole other topic).

I had a "literal" word salad for breakfast at the library this morning. What would on-topic responses look like anyway? Pulling up the actual press conferences? Why not just dismiss that as a psyop without evidence like I did you? All we can rely on on the subject is limited scientific intuition about the distribution of water on Mars, taking the evidence with an appropriately sized grain of salt. The tangential bullshit hits a target more accurately anyway.

the non-conversational perfect punctuation and single clause per sentence reasoning style is the most ai slop shit the dead internet produces and it's usually accompanied with seeming eloquence and an intelligence that is at once quasi-superhuman in syntax and sub-human in artfulness, we wrestle not against blood and bone et cetera ..

So my emotionally hollow verbosity makes me seem like a bot then? We wrestle not against blood and bone but against the neurotypical mind, objectivity compressed by an inherent emotional attachment to conformity, so ready to believe that they are a prized agent posting for the national security of the United States or Israel and so confounded by the idea of fundamental principles overpowering instinctive social behavior that they react threatened and ostracize the autist, lashing out in rage, their ego rescued by their smug perception of their own "dominance" that they fail to interrogate or understand.
