Have any of you guys ever failed a test? What was it in? What do you do to get your confidence back?

Failed a certification exam and feel fucking terrible. "Being smart" is really all I have in life. I don't have that many friends, a social life, etc so this shit is PAINFUL.

just study harder. the lack of confidence when facing a test is because you are unprepared. i remember when i failed my calc1 test i gigacoped telling myself that the others did better because they cheated or sucked the teacher dick, that amount of shame could have been avoided if i just studied more.

That's part of the problem for you; you feel that you're smart(you probably are) so you don't have to study as hard as normies
Raw intelligence can only get you so far

studying can only get you so far. you need resources, access, location, certain attitude. and probably other things.

i had no intention of owning a McDonalds or running a landscaping company.

I got a 4 or a 5 one, don't recall, the retard teacher decided that me leaving minor details out despite answering all the questions correctly was worth -8735 points, that's when I realized that studying her subject was just not worth it

i failed 1 test by like 2-3% because i changed my test-taking strategy from a tried-and-true method to one a professor recommended. just had to study a little more and use my old method for questions i was slightly unsure on, but my confidence wasn't really hurt since it was obvious what i needed to do.

other test i failed was my national licensing practical exam which cost $1500 itself and had to fly across the country to take. going into it the second time i had even worse confidence than i had the first time since i failed, but managed to pass it easily. partially because i practiced the skills a little more, mostly because everyone that took it the first time in the same month i originally did failed and 95% of people who took it after that month passed.

only real advice i can give is study more, modify your test-taking strategies, and hope for the best.

only real advice i can give is study longer and more effectively, ensure you know EXACTLY what the testing will look like and what they're looking for (which you now know since you took the test for the first time), modify your test-taking strategies, and hope for the best.

i failed a exam in second semester p-chem, i was stretched too thin between work and school. hilariously the class had a "drop exam" rule where you could discard the lowest score
