Suppose I live in a constitutional parliamentary democracy and I personally do not believe in democracy. I'm also rich and wealthy, could I sponsor a political party to partition the country (it has many uninhabited islets). So that I receive a small island and partition it into another country and crown myself as absolute monarch (King) of that new nation.
>Does the partition of a country need to be discussed/debated in a parliament or are there any loopholes/ways to bypass this?
Finally after receiving the said island, could I just contact a superpower like China, to install a military base on the said island in exchange for their protection, shares in their governmental companies, funding of all my royal financial expenses and lifestyle (including the payment of my employees that is maids, guards, etc...) (Those employees would be chinese) and the support of China in securing membership at the United Nations.
My new country would also only use the chinese yuan as the only legal tender.
>Are there are any disadvantages to all of these?
