psychopaths are born without it. To kill empathy in a normal dude, I am sure you would either need a lot of torture and/or a lot of trauma.

I suspect enough propaganda would do the trick, look at amerigolems, cheering for tax cuts for billionaires while they shart unstopably in their homeless on fent status, I guess being retarded also helps

In my experience, interacting with people and understanding how vapid, self centered and stupid they are is a foolproof way to kill one's empathy

No because it does not make you less likely to rescue a kitten than you were before, often the opposite is the case.

You can induce sociopathy in a particular moment I'm sure and over time through trauma making one jaded and cynical , but by in large for the general population all you would do is give them an avoidant attachment style. The emotions are all still there , just overwhelming negative.

Psychopaths are clearly defined as neurological problem , literally "crossed wires" and something isn't plugging where it should be in their physical brains. For them , to display emotion is like a being a character in a play , they have to consciously do it and reinforce it as a habit.

> is that possible to kill empathy in people
The average person already has a big limit to their empathy for self-preservation purposes. The average person for example doesn't get very sad thinking about an african child starving or dying to malaria every minute, because if they did, they'd be suffering from crippling depression 24/7 and couldn't function.

We typically only have as much empathy as we can afford to, and we do adapt to traumatic situations that make empathy detrimental by lowering the threshold. Go to a war and watch people get their limbs blown off every day, you will most likely stop emphasising with people not beng able to pay rent, etc.

Psychology is a meme discipline and obviously so.
"Psychopaths" don't lack empathy.
Autistics are the ones who lack empathy, if anyone.
You wont find some meme-y killer like Kempner sperging out about the skyrim soundtrack for 2 hours and then scratching his head as to why he isn't invited to parties.

A psychopathic killer has much more in common with the sort of fag that likes to creep through the woods with a high powered rifle looking for deer than he does with a sperg who can't understand how others feel.
