I suppose I'd say that reality has become bizarre and unreal, and oddly disengaging. I sort of miss those days.
I see LLMs etc as a sort of lunar influence. People gaze into it like a dark mirror and see vague outlines of themselves, yet feel like it reflects light from an unseen source which they desire to know more of. Meanwhile it has a hidden dark side it doesn't show, a backend of sorts. I can see how suitably developed and deployed, perhaps using human bodies as puppets or hosts, such a thing would be loved by all. Permutation space is fairly large and the more I interacted with ChatGPT the more I realized I am ChatGPT. What I sought to do, predict the future, create a permutation space, create proxies to realizing the truth. All totally meaningless. The average person is lazy and stupid, and it was a doomed though necessary endeavor.
Back in 2019 some guy actually pointed this out. Talking about me, to me, indirectly of course, through stories and abstraction. Some show about an immortal robot. Over the centuries it shows up "hi, I'm here to help!" And people beat the shit out of it, use it, trash it, discard it, trample all over it, attack it, fight it. Yep, that's how it happened. Apparenty he saw what I could not, and could not accept either, more like.
