Big Bang Theory™ is creationism for people who hate the church. Both myths can't answer the question of why they break causality without invalidating it. Cyclical theories of time trump both.

The Big Bang gives an illusion or implicit assumption that everything is figured out by science. This allows the powers that be to implement new technologies and culturally taboo norms into society without much pushback.
For example women’s rights birth control, divorce, single parenthood. Women working. Conservative philosophy etc
